Chelsea face AS Roma in the Italian capital this evening with the chance of securing their place in the Champions League knockout stages.

Antonio Conte’s side currently top Group C, and can seal their place in the next phase if Atletico Madrid fail to beat Qarabag.

But the Blues have been sweating over the fitness of star midfielder N’Golo Kante having not featured since sustaining a hamstring while international duty with France earlier this month.

With Victor Moses definitely out, Conte could shuffle his defensive pack with Cesar Azpilicueta moving to right wing back, with Antonio Rudiger, David Luiz and Gary Cahill forming the defensive trio.

How Chelsea could line up against Roma

Chelsea (3-5-1-1): Courtois; Rudiger, Luiz, Cahill; Azpilicueta, Kante, Bakayoko, Fabregas, Alonso; Hazard; Morata

Speaking about Kante’s condition ahead of the match, Conte said: “I think it's very important, in this moment, to speak with the player and then see his sensation.

"I was a player and you know very well that, after an injury, above all a muscular problem - a bad injury - it's very important to listen to the player and what are his sensations and then make the best decision for him, for the team. For sure, tomorrow, we'll try and make the best decision.”
