Harry Kane has already become a role model at Tottenham, according to two of Mauricio Pochettino's recent Academy graduates.

Kane, 24, overcame a goalless August to score 13 times for Spurs and England in September, and is on course to challenge for a hat-trick of Premier League Golden Boots with six strikes in the top flight.

The striker looks increasingly likely to be named as England's permanent captain after scoring in the Three Lions' last two 2018 World Cup qualifying wins while wearing the armband.

While Kane is one of Spurs' younger starters, Tashan Oakley-Boothe and Anthony Georgiou - who both made the step up from youth level for first-team opportunities of late - praised Kane after witnessing the Spurs academy graduate's attitude up close.

Oakley-Boothe, who came off the bench in Spurs' League Cup win against Barnsley last month, said Kane has been a shining light in terms of gaining experience: "He's quite a role a model for me with everything he does on and off the pitch.

"The way he conducts himself, the way he does his own individual stuff, he’s a credit to the club and he’s great to be around."

Winger Georgiou got valuable minutes as Kane scored a Champions League hat-trick in the 3-0 triumph against APOEL in Cyprus, and said: "Harry Kane is an unbelievable player.

"His finishing is incredible and you know as soon as he gets a chance he’s going to score.

"To see someone come from the Academy and become a world-class striker is unbelievable and something that everyone looks up to and aspires to.

"To see someone come from where we’ve come from and for him to be doing what he’s doing is incredible."
