I fear Manchester City will slice open West Ham, writes Danny Murphy

West Ham looked unsure of what they were trying to do against Everton, and that is a bit of a worry.

That is not slagging off David Moyes, because players can sometimes get confused with what they are attempting to do.

But they did not tackle, they did not press and they were horrendous in the first half — the basics of pub football never mind the Premier League, like not tracking runners and not getting to knockdowns.

They do not look fit enough and they do not look well-balanced. They certainly didn’t play with great balance at Everton.

Pablo Zabaleta is playing too high, leaving Winston Reid isolated. And nobody seems to be working on it. I am watching the same mistakes every week. Reid looks like he is struggling. Zabaleta has just got to stay next to him.

David Moyes has to get a back four who stay as a back four and stop conceding goals. They got a battling point against Leicester, but City will open them up.

They have real problems, but Moyes knows how to get a team organised and sometimes it takes time. West Ham have Javier Hernandez, Marko Arnautovic and Andy Carroll, so they have firepower.

At City just try not to embarrass yourselves.
