Jose Mourinho will be able to assess the attitude of his players earlier than he may have liked this evening as Huddersfield’s historic win over Manchester United at the John Smith’s Stadium leads the way on Match of the Day.

Goals from Aaron Mooy and Laurent Depoirte meant that the Red Devils lost ground in the title race to rivals Manchester City, who go five points clear.

Pep Guardiola’s side, who beat Burnley 3-0 at The Etihad are third in the running order, behind champions Chelsea on tonight’s show after a brace from Michy Batshuayi helped the Blues back from 2-1 down to beat the in-form Hornets.

Michael Appleton’s first game in charge of Leicester, a win away at Swansea, follows the City game before Bournemouth’s win over Stoke and a stunning winner from Sofiane Boufal in Southampton v West Brom.

The last of Saturday’s games in the running order is Newcastle’s win over Crystal Palace at St. James’ Park, with West Ham’s defeat to Brighton from Friday night closing off the show.
