Arsene Wenger has recalled midfielder Aaron Ramsey to his Arsenal side for the visit to Stoke City, where the Welshman broke his leg in 2010 and has been booed ever since.

The Gunners, who beat Leicester 4-3 in a dramatic Premier League curtain-raiser last Friday, are looking to win their first two games of a season for the first time in eight years, when Ramsey himself scored in the second - a 4-1 home win over Portsmouth - after an opening-day win at Everton.

Wenger's side managed to end their poor run of form in the Potteries with a 4-1 win last season, and will be confident of doing so again against a Stoke squad significantly weakened by the summer transfer window.

Mark Hughes does, however, have former Real Madrid man Jese to look to for some creative spark after the Spaniard joined on loan from Paris Saint-Germian this week, and the 24-year-old starts for the hosts, who line up as follows: Butland; Zouma, Shawcross, Cameron; Diouf, Allen, Fletcher, Pieters; Shaqiri, Jese, Choupo-Moting.

For Arsenal, there is still no Alexis Sanchez as the Chile forward recovers from an abdominal injury, and the visitors start with this XI: Cech, Bellerin, Mustafi, Monreal, Kolasinac, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Xhaka, Ramsey, Welbeck, Ozil, Lacazette
