Harry Kane has some of Tottenham's opponents beaten before he even walks onto the pitch, according to Arsenal legend Thierry Henry.

Kane capitalised on another defensive horror show from Liverpool by scoring twice for Tottenham in a ruthless 4-1 victory.

Dejan Lovren was substituted after just 31 minutes at Wembley but he was not the only one guilty of kamikaze defending, with Simon Mignolet and Joel Matip both major contributors to Spurs' goal flurry.

Kane and Son Heung-min took full advantage with an early double before Mohamed Salah pulled one back for Liverpool. Dele Alli and Kane, however, struck either side of half-time to put the result beyond doubt.

Kane ended the match with two goals and an assist, with Liverpool's defence all at sea as the Spurs striker went top of the Golden Boot standings.

Asked whether he thought Kane had the beating of opponents before he even took to the pitch, Thierry Henry told Sky Sports: "I think, right now, he's there.

"I remember playing games where I knew it was OK already in the tunnel.

"You're focussing, and that guy on the side is looking at you and I'm like 'Oh man, you're in trouble'.

"So then you go on the field and you give them what they want. What they want is to see if I was that.

"So you give them a little move and they back off and I'm like, 'Oh you're even more in trouble!'

"If the guy wanted to have a go at me I'm like, 'Oh, OK, I'm having a game here'.

"I can see that with Kane, he's looking at people like 'You're not going to do anything against me today', and those guys back off."
