Toby Alderweireld is set for a spell on the sidelines while Tottenham will also assess goalkeeper Hugo Lloris before Sunday’s game against Crystal Palace.

Alderweireld suffered a hamstring injury during the first half of Wednesday’s 3-1 win over Real Madrid at Wembley in the Champions League and is a clear doubt for the derby at Arsenal on November 18.

Lloris, meanwhile, took a knock when he collided with Madrid defender Sergio Ramos as he claimed a high ball.

At one stage, the France captain appeared to signal for Michel Vorm to replace him, although he continued until the end.

Alderweireld joins Victor Wanyama on the sidelines, although the midfielder has resumed training outdoors, while Erik Lamela has still not returned to action, more than a year after he was sidelined with a hip injury.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is expected to make changes against Palace. Mousa Dembele could make his first start for more than a month, while Moussa Sissoko, Heung-min Son and Serge Aurier are also pushing for starting places.
