Mauricio Pochettino wants to improve his Tottenham squad and admires Watford forward Richarlison, who has made a fine start in England after joining from Fluminense last summer.

Richarlison moved to Vicarage Road in an £13million deal and has impressed in the Premier League, scoring four times and providing two assists in his 11 appearances.

The Brazilian can operate in wide areas or centrally, meaning he can adapt to various attacking systems.

It would be difficult to conclude a deal with a Premier League rival in mid-season, especially as Richarlison has become such a key man for Watford.

But Tottenham will continue to follow the 20-year-old closely and may be prepared to allow fringe players, such as Josh Onomah - currently on loan at Aston Villa - or Georges-Kevin Nkoudou as part of any agreement.

Tottenham have done business successfully with Watford in recent times, with Etienne Capoue joining the Hornets for nearly £6m in 2015.
