Jamie Redknapp believes Tottenham star Christian Eriksen is the most under-rated player in the Premier League.

Harry Kane stole the headlines on Saturday as his brace helped Tottenham secure a 3-2 win over West Ham at London Stadium, but it was yet another impressive performance from Eriksen which caught Redknapp's eye.

The Dane was instrumental in constructing a fluid counter-attack which led to Spurs' opener against the Hammers, and added a decisive third goal in the second half.

Eriksen's goal was his second in the Premier League this season, while he has also laid on two to help Spurs climb to fourth in the top flight table.

And on a weekend when Alvaro Morata, Sergio Aguero and Romelu Lukaku all moved onto six goals in the scoring charts, former Spurs man Redknapp has attempted to deflect the spotlight onto the creative players setting up the strikers.

"With the super strikers on fire, it is easy to overlook the creative geniuses who fuel these front men," he wrote in his Daily Mail column.

"Christian Eriksen is the most under-rated player in the Premier League. He makes Harry Kane and Dele Alli tick with phenomenal service — just look at his sublime ball to free Alli in the build-up to Tottenham's first goal against West Ham.

"It's easy to see why Eriksen does not get the same attention as Spurs' other stars. He does not court the limelight — he almost needs a tattoo or a silly haircut to make him stand out!"
