Premier League football is back, and the top flight's elite are ready to pick up where they left off with some new faces.

The summer transfer window saw another record spending total for top flight clubs, with a flurry of late deals providing some typical drama.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain finally made the decision to leave Arsenal, and the £40million signing faces a tall order as his new club Liverpool take the short trip to potential title rivals Manchester City on Saturday.

Chelsea added two new faces on deadline day, with Danny Drinkwater and Davide Zappacosta joining Antonio Conte's champions.

With Drinkwater leaving it late to seal a switch from 2015-16 title winners Leicester to Stamford Bridge, it seems only fitting that he returns to the King Power Stadium on Saturday for a potential Chelsea debut against the Foxes.

Mauricio Pochettino and Tottenham typically leave it until late in the window to do their business, and Spurs fans were rewarded for their patience with a flurry of deals.

Serge Aurier is a doubt for Spurs' trip to Everton, but Fernando Llorente - a late, late signing snatched from under the noses of Chelsea - could well make an impact from the bench at Goodison Park.
