Jose Mourinho claims Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s career isn’t complete – because he hasn’t played in the Premier League.

Even though the striker is now 32, the Chelsea manager hinted he would still be interested in signing Ibrahimovich ahead of his side’s Champions League quarter-final first leg tie at his present club Paris St Germain.

The Swede has said in the build-up that it would be ‘impossible’ for him to come to England because PSG will be his last club in Europe.

But Mourinho, who managed the striker at Inter Milan, has urged him to think again.

‘I think it’s a pity for him when he finishes his career and he played in the most important countries in the world of football, and won the most important championships in the world of football, but he didn’t play in the best league in the world and never won the best league in the world,’ he said.

Mourinho accepts Ibrahimovic, who has also had spells with Ajax, Barcelona and AC Milan, is happy in France but insists he would have no issue with managing him again.

‘When people say he has a difficult personality, for me the difficult personalities are the players who don’t want to win, to work, to be the best,’ said Mourinho.

‘He wants to win, to work, to be the best. He has a big ego, big self-esteem, so for me to be his coach was no problem.’
