Cornered: Alexis Sanchez was at his mesmerising best against Brighton.

When your team’s backs are against the wall, the one man you want in your corner – literally – is Alexis Sanchez.

The Chilean was brought on in the second-half of Arsenal’s FA Cup tie with Brighton, and found himself tasked with keeping the ball away from the Championship side as they staged a late fightback against the Gunners.

And the ex-Barcelona man showed that there aren’t many that can play keep-ball better than him, as he bamboozled two Brighton defenders with some mesmerising footwork to waste valuable seconds for his side.

Arsenal held on to win 3-2 against the Seagulls, and will now go into the hat for tonight’s fifth-round draw.
