Gedion Zelalem has built up a decent collection of highlights reels in his relatively short career to date, and Arsenal fans are rightfully getting excited about the kind of player he could become.

Zelalem starred in an Arsenal side which beat Celtic 4-2 in the Durban Under-19 International Tournament on Wednesday, providing a marvelous pinpoint assist and scoring an audacious penalty.

The young American has not yet made a Premier League appearance for Arsene Wenger’s side, but several impressive showings in Arsenal colours suggest he is ready to make the step up.

Here was Zelalem’s Mesut Ozil-esque assist for fellow prospect Tyrell Robinson who took the chance very nicely…

Here’s another view of the pass if you want to see it again – which you definitely do…

Zelalem then had the cheek to embarrass the Celtic goalkeeper with this filthy panenka penalty in the second half…

Surely Wenger needs to show him off on a bigger stage than this now.
