Jack Wilshere has suffered another injury set back and Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says he doesn’t know when he’ll play again.

Wilshere underwent surgery on a fractured left fibula in September and was expected to return in December.

However, Gunners boss Wenger now says Wilshere is taking longer than expected to return and he doesn’t know when he’ll be back.

‘He will not be back before February,’ said Wenger.

‘I say February but honestly I don’t know.

‘I let him do his recovery. It’s going slowly.

‘Once he goes outside to train and is back again into sharp, hard work physically, you count five or six weeks.

‘At the moment he is not there yet.’

Wilshere will now miss crucial fixtures against Liverpool and Chelsea and he looks likely to also miss the crunch Champions League tie with Barcelona.
