Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has insisted that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has a future at the club.

With Manchester City, Chelsea, and Southampton all being linked to the England international, there have been some doubts over his future at the Emirates.

‘We have invested a lot of time with him and we will not give up now,’ said Wenger.

‘His injury record in the past few years does not look good but he is a fantastic athlete and we do not see any weaknesses with him.

‘He has been out for a while but I wanted him to go to the Euros because he is an impact player who could have made a big contribution to England’s success.’

The 22-year-old has scored only one goal in 22 Premier League appearances this season, so far failing to live up to his undoubted potential.
