Arsene Wenger has been offered a £30 million-a-year salary by a Chinese Super League club to leave Arsenal.

However the Telegraph claim the Arsenal manager has no interest in a sudden exit from the club despite the incredible wage increase.

Wenger earns around £8 million a year currently at Arsenal and has been under increasing pressure to walk away from the club at the end of the season.

A 5-1 defeat at the hands of Bayern Munich in the Champions League has sparked renewed appetite for a new manager at the Emirates.

However, Wenger is not keen on joining top-earners in China and does not see managing that side of the world as a suitable challenge.

Pep Guardiola is the best paid manager in the Premier League, but £30 million a year is twice his current wage and would put Wenger on par with Carlos Tevez’s salary in China.

Tevez earns around £615,000 a week at Shanghai Shenhua, but Wenger did have the chance to take him within touching distance of that sensational wage at around £570,000 a week.

Wenger has already said he will manage beyond the end of the season, but has refused to confirm whether that will be at Arsenal.

Arsenal have offered the Frenchman a two-year contract to stay in charge with the hierarchy desperate for Wenger to remain at the club.
