Manchester United suffered their first pre-season defeat as Neymar inspired Barcelona to a 1-0 victory over Jose Mourinho’s men at FedEx Field.

Neymar, 25, has been heavily linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain this summer as the Ligue 1 giants are reportedly ready to meet the forward’s £197million release clause at the Nou Camp.

It’s understood Neymar is seriously considering a move to the French capital but put in an impressive display against United on Thursday morning, scoring the only goal of the game in the 31st minute.

And with it looking possible that the Brazilian could move ahead of the 2017/18 campaign, it appears Marcus Rashford may well have acquired one of his last ever Barca shirts.

The United striker was spotted chatting to Neymar after the final whistle before asking for a shirt-swap as both sets of players headed for the tunnel.

Neymar could be seen pointing in the direction of the tunnel, presumably insinuating that he would prefer to swap shirts in the changing rooms and away from the crowds.

The iconic Brazil international also chatted at length with Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba before the friendly in Maryland.
