Nemanja Matic will make his Manchester United debut against Sampdoria after being named in a strong starting line-up in Dublin.

The Serbian completed his £40million move to Old Trafford from Chelsea on Monday and Jose Mourinho is keen for the midfielder to get up to speed having been omitted from the Blues’ pre-season tour squad.

Sampdoria are United’s last pre-season opponents before they face Real Madrid in the Super Cup on August 8th.

United appear to be starting with a back three with Victor Lindelof, Chris Smalling and Daley Blind flanked by Antonio Valencia and Matteo Darmian.

Paul Pogba, Matic, Andreas Pereira and Henrikh Mkhitaryan start in midfield with Romelu Lukaku up front.

The Red Devils kick off their Premier League campaign by hosting West Ham at Old Trafford on August 13th.
