Adnan Januzaj insists he is aiming to prove Jose Mourinho wrong after leaving Manchester United.
The Belgian joined Real Sociedad in a deal worth around £9.8 million in July after spending last season on loan at Sunderland.
Januzaj initially joined United as a 16-year-old in 2011 but Mourinho allowed the winger to leave on a permanent deal this summer after failing to secure a first-team place.
‘Obviously, he is a great trainer but I did not have much of a relationship with him,’ the Belgian told Manchester Evening News.
‘I respect him a lot because he is the one who left the door open for me to leave Manchester United.
‘What I want now is to prove that I am a good player and that they were wrong to let me go.’
