Alexis Sanchez has reportedly accepted he will be staying at Arsenal for another season.

The Arsenal attacker has been pushing for a transfer all summer and was hoping for a switch to Manchester City or Bayern Munich.

But, Bayern refused to pay Sanchez the proposed £400,000-a-week wages while Arsenal will not entertain bids from Premier League rivals.

The Mirror claim Sanchez is now dropping hints to his Arsenal team-mates that he is remaining at the club and will see out the rest of his contract.

Sanchez has less than 12 months to run on his current deal and will walk away for free next summer.

The 27-year-old will not sign a new deal and will be free to enter talks with a potential new club in January.

Arsene Wenger has been unmovable in his stance on Sanchez and has repeatedly insisted the Chile intentional is not for sale.

The Frenchman is comfortable with Sanchez running down his contract and leaving for nothing next season.

Sanchez’s last route out of the Emirates was ruined this week when Paris Saint-Germain forked out £198million on Barcelona superstar Neymar.

It is unrealistic PSG will follow up a world-record transfer with a £50m deal for Sanchez.

Wenger left Sanchez out of the matchday squad for the Community Shield on Sunday due to his late return to training this summer.

Sanchez was in attendance for the Community Shield triumph and now looks certain to stay at the Emirates.
