Gareth Bale would win Manchester United the Premier League, says Jamie Redknapp (Reuters)

Manchester United will win the Premier League if they manage to sign Gareth Bale from Real Madrid, claims Jamie Redknapp.

Jose Mourinho has said that United would be ready to move for the 28-year-old if Madrid give an indication that they are prepared to sell the forward before the end of the window.

The Spanish champions are still in the race to sign Kylian Mbappe from Monaco and it’s been reported that Bale will be the player to make way if the 18-year-old arrives at the Santiago Bernabeu.

And Redknapp believes the former Tottenham midfielder would be the perfect addition to Mourinho’s squad.

‘If it did [happen] I think you should just give Manchester United the trophy now,’ Redknapp told Sky Sports News.

‘It won’t be to do with anyone else because Gareth Bale is that good.

‘He would rip the Premier League apart if he came here.

‘I think the way that he plays – in that team – he would be sensational. There are only a few players that can do what he can.

‘He is sensational. He is made for the Premier League.’
