Alexis Sanchez has sent out a clear message by calling Arsenal his ‘home’ following speculation linking him with a deadline day transfer move to Manchester City.

The Chilean forward is in the final year of his contract at the Emirates and was reportedly pushing for a controversial switch to the Etihad for the 2017/18 campaign.

However, after having a £92million bid rejected for Thomas Lemar in the final hours of the summer transfer window, Arsenal blocked Sanchez’s exit and he looks set to feature against Bournemouth this weekend.

Ahead of the Emirates clash, Sanchez wrote on Instagram: ‘Back home. FOCUS.’

Arsene Wenger has admitted that replacing Sanchez next summer could cost as much as £70m.

He told beIN SPORTS: ‘You take Sanchez into the final year of his contract, you sacrifice £60-70million income.

‘At the end of the season you will have to buy somebody for that amount of money. He has a huge price, so at some stage you have to make a decision.’
