Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku reached the incredible landmark of 150 club career goals this afternoon with his strike against Stoke City.

The Belgium international joined the Red Devils from Everton in a £75million move this summer, and has made quite the start at Old Trafford with five goals in his first five appearances in all competitions.

Lukaku also netted 25 times in the Premier League last season with Everton, finishing second to Harry Kane in the Golden Boot rankings to attract interest from bigger clubs.

Still only 24, Lukaku showed again today why he’s quite so special by scoring for the 150th time of his club career, which started as a teenager at Belgian side Anderlecht.

Lukaku was then snapped up by Chelsea in 2011, but struggled for regular playing time at Stamford Bridge before impressing on loan.

It was in his single season with West Brom in 2012/13 that Lukaku first got off the mark in the Premier League, scoring 17 times for the Baggies that season.

Lukaku was then loaned out to Everton and added a further 15 league goals to his name before making the permanent move to Goodison Park for £28million.

Chelsea tried to sign the lethal forward back this summer, but ultimately missed out to United, who will be congratulating themselves for landing one of the most deadly finishers in the game.

Unfortunately for them, his efforts today couldn’t help United to a win against Stoke, but Lukaku can hold his head high at proving a few doubters wrong with his prolific start at United.

With a record like this, it’s a wonder he ever needed to persuade anyone of his qualities.
