Jose Mourinho believes Paul Pogba will miss around two weeks of action after suffering a hamstring injury during Manchester United’s win over Basel on Tuesday evening.

The France international played just 19 minutes at Old Trafford after pulling his left hamstring in a challenge with Mohamed Elyounoussi.

Mourinho has now confirmed that the midfielder will miss United’s Premier League fixture against Everton on Sunday.

Pogba was also seen leaving Old Trafford on crutches.

‘I don’t know, looks for me two [weeks], but I didn’t speak with him or the medical department, but the squad is for this, for injuries, for suspensions,’ said the United manager.

‘We don’t cry, no Paul for Sunday [against Everton], we have [Ander] Herrera, we have [Marouane] Fellaini, we have [Michael] Carrick, we have [Nemanja] Matic.’

Mourinho also added to MUTV: ‘I just know from experience it’s a muscular injury.

‘In my experience, muscular injuries stop you from playing for a few weeks, I think.’
