Alexandre Lacazette has tipped both Reiss Nelson and Eddie Nketiah to make a major impact at first team level with Arsenal.

The France international joined from Lyon in the summer for a club-record fee of £52million and has hit the ground running with two Premier League goals under his belt already.

While Lacazette is already firmly established in Arsene Wenger’s preferred XI, teenagers Nelson and Nketiah are still to make their top flight debuts although the club’s new No.9 doesn’t feel like it will be long before they are putting pressure on their manager.

‘He’s already impressed me during pre-season,’ said Lacazette of Nelson, who made his senior debut as a substitute in Thursday’s 3-1 win over Koln in the Europa League.

‘It’s great to see what he’s been doing for the Under-23s, his stats are very good and he’s performing very well.

‘When he’s played with us he has shown he has real quality

‘I really like Eddie Nketiah as well he’s a great striker at the academy. He’s also already impressed me during pre-season.’
