Alvaro Morata has revealed studying Cristiano Ronaldo and Fernando Llorente at close quarters has helped turn him into one of the best strikers in the air in world football.

Chelsea’s club-record purchase has scored three times for his new club since his £58million move from Real Madrid in the summer, all with his head.

The Spain international has been the subject of some gentle ribbing from teammate Eden Hazard this week, who implored his new teammate to start scoring with his feet.

Morata insists he doesn’t mind how his goals are scored but insists his aerial prowess is down to watching two of the best in the business perfect the art of heading.
