John Terry has dropped an enormous hint that Charly Musonda is set to start for Chelsea against Nottingham Forest in the EFL Cup.

Antonio Conte is expected to name an inexperienced side at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night after confirming plans to rotate his squad ahead of Sunday’s goalless draw with Arsenal.

Musonda, 20, is being tipped for big things at at the club but the midfielder has only made two substitute appearances for the Blues to date after a spell on loan at Real Betis.

However, it appears Chelsea icon Terry let slip Conte’s plans to start Musonda for the upcoming cup fixture, wishing Musonda luck on Instagram in the lead-up to the game.

Conte insists it is ‘normal’ for him to rotate his squad, with such a busy schedule ahead.

‘I must be realistic, I must be calm, to make the best decision for these seven games,’ the Italian said earlier this month.

‘It’s normal when you have to play seven games in 21 days to rotate my players. I’m very calm about this because I trust my players.’
