Arsenal star Shkodran Mustafi was able to see the funny side after having a goal disallowed during his side’s 0-0 draw with Chelsea.

Mustafi appeared to put the north London club in front as he nodded home Alexis Sanchez’s free-kick but the goal was rightly ruled out as the German was in offside position as the set-piece was taken.

The 25-year-old, though, was unaware of Michael Oliver’s call until a long time after he celebrated in front of the travelling Gooners at Stamford Bridge.

Moments after the match, Mustafi took to Instagram troll himself following his somewhat embarrassing celebration.

‘Legends say that Mustafi is still celebrating,’ the post reads.

Arsenal could rest Mustafi when they host Doncaster Rovers in the EFL Cup on Wednesday night but the centre-back will be hoping for another start at home to West Brom next weekend.

Danny Welbeck, though, could be set for a period on the sidelines after Arsene Wenger confirmed the forward had sustained a groin injury at Stamford Bridge.
