The top two sides from last year’s Championship meet this weekend in the Premier League, as Brighton take on Newcastle.

Newcastle have responded positively to a poor start to the season, winning their last three games after losing their opening two.

Meanwhile, Brighton have lost their last two games against Bournemouth both in the Premier League and EFL Cup, but Chris Hughton’s side can take solace from knowing that they won their last home game against West Brom in the league.

The game is on Sunday, September 24 at the Amex Stadium with kick-off at 4pm.

Sky Sports Premier League channel is showing the game with coverage starting at 3.30pm.

What is the team news?

Chelsea loanee Izzy Brown, could return for Brighton after suffering from a hamstring problem in their season opener with Manchester City.

However, Sam Baldock, Biram Kayal and Steve Sidwell are all still injured.

For Rafa Benitez’s side, Paul Dummett remains sidelined whilst Aleksandar Mitrovic is suspended.

Karl Darlow is still not 100 per cent fit and so Rob Elliot is set to continue in goal.

Tim Krul made his switch to Brighton permanent earlier this week.
