Manchester United and Arsenal both sent scouts to watch Aston Villa’s Keinan Davis as the 19-year-old forward scored his second goal in three matches.

The Premier League giants have become aware of the England Under-20s star’s progress this season as he has bulldozed his way into Steve Bruce’s plans.

Davis was given his opportunity in the absence of Jonathan Kodjia – who missed the start of the 2017/18 campaign through injury – but is now partnering the Ivorian front man in what is proving to be a dynamic attacking duo.

Since the pair have been unleashed, Villa have won three matches on the spin convincingly, beating Barnsley 3-0 and Nottingham Forest 2-1 before thrashing Burton Albion 4-0.

Davis was on the scoresheet against both Barnsley and Burton as he banged in two brilliant headers and looks a serious prospect after bullying defences with his power and clever movement.

Bruce has been fielding him in front of Villa’s £12million striker Scott Hogan and it’s no surprise that the Premier League’s elite are starting to sit up and take notice.

Everton also had officials watching him, according to the Mirror, and if he continues to impress in Villa’s promotion push, they may struggle to keep him in the West Midlands.
