Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata says he is finding it easy to combine with new team-mate Eden Hazard after making the move to Stamford Bridge this summer.

The 24-year-old has shone since joining the Blues from Real Madrid this season, netting seven times in his first eight appearances for the club.

However, he hasn’t yet spent a great deal of time on the pitch with Hazard, who missed the start of the campaign through injury and who is only just working his way back into the side.

Still, Morata has heaped praise on the quality of the Belgian forward, saying it has been no trouble at all striking up a partnership with him quickly.

‘It’s not difficult playing with this kind of player,’ Morata said.

‘He’s one of the three best players in the world. It’s easy for me playing with him.’

Morata also praised the strength of Chelsea’s squad in general as they look to establish themselves as one of the main contenders for the Premier League title.

‘But we’re very happy because we’re fighting for the Premier League too.’
