Michy Batshuayi had some fun with former teammate Diego Costa after Chelsea’s stunning Champions League win over Atletico Madrid.

Costa, who rejoined Atletico this week, watched from the stands on Wednesday evening as his new club forfeited a 1-0 lead to lose for the first time at their new stadium.

Antoine Griezmann put the hosts ahead from the spot but second-half goals from Alavaro Morata and Batshuayi flipped the game on its head.

The Belgian came off the bench to score the winner with the very last kick of the match as Chelsea retained top spot in Group C with a superb 2-1 win.

Understandably, Batshuayi was in a playful mood after the match when he met up with Costa and another former Chelsea striker, Fernando Torres.

Alongside a picture of the three forwards, he cheekily wrote: ‘Great honour to meet one of the great strikers I used to watch when I was younger… and no, I’m not talking about Diego!’

Torres only mustered 20 league goals during his time at Chelsea, rather failing to live up to his enormous price tag, while Costa netted 52 times in 89 league outings and spearheaded two title wins.

Torres was brought on as a second half sub on Wednesday night as Atletico looked to reclaim their lead and halt Chelsea’s dominance, with the Blues giving an assured performance.

Costa, who cannot play until January due to Atletico’s transfer ban, was spotted greeting several of his old Chelsea teammates – and backroom staff – before the match, though looked gutted when Batshuayi scored the winner.
