Mino Raiola failed with an attempt to bring Juventus forward Paulo Dybala to Manchester United this summer, according to reports in Italy.

Raiola has brokered several transfers with United, including deals for Romelu Lukaku, Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Sergio Romero.

Tuttosport claims that Raiola attempted to become Dybala’s agent this summer in order to engineer a move to Old Trafford.

The report also claims that Jorge Mendes wanted to become the Argentine’s new representative in order to get him to sign for Real Madrid.

But Dybala ended up replacing his former agent Pierpaolo Triulzi with his brother Gustavo, who lives in Barcelona.

Dybala was heavily linked with a move to Barca this summer, but Juventus are ready to offer a long-term contract to the 23-year-old.

‘The lad is priceless, because we are not a selling club,” Juventus director general Beppe Marotta told La Stampa.

‘I always repeat that a player has his future in his hands and Paulo just said he wants to tie himself to our club for life.

‘Translated, that means we will make another big financial sacrifice to keep him. We will soon lock him down to a new contract – it’s what he asked us for.’

Last month, reports claimed that Manchester United were preparing a £155 million move for Dybala and have made the forward aware of their interest.
