Romelu Lukaku is set to avoid any punishment for his clash with Dejan Lovren at Anfield on Saturday, with some claiming he stamped on the Liverpool defender.

The Belgium international tangled with the Croatia international and seemingly left a foot in, which left the centre-back sprawled on the floor clutching his face.

But the FA will not pursue a case against the forward after the incident in the dour draw.

Lukaku’s performance in the Premier League clash was generally criticised, leading to the 24-year-old insisting he’s no flat-track bully.

With seven goals and one assist already in the league alone, Lukaku is one of the most feared strikers in English football and Jose Mourinho will no doubt be delighted that he won’t face any time out of the side due to a ban.

The striker will now definitely be available for their next league game against Huddersfield, and perhaps more importantly against Tottenham Hotspur later this month.
