Hello darkness my old friend (Picture: Sky Sports)

We’ve all been there. You spot a celeb out in the wild and have that debate in your mind – ‘Do I go up and get a selfie?’

Usually you bottle it but, props to this chap, he worked up the courage to walk up to Arsene Wenger, introduce himself and ask for a photograph. It was all going so well.

Within seconds, though, his fingers were trembling, his voice was quivering and sweat was cascading down his body as he posed for the picture alongside his hero.

He took one last look at Wenger to check this was real life before…SOMEHOW PRESSING THE WRONG BUTTON. Oh, Mate. Ever heard of a front-facing camera?

He completely and utterly, well and truly, bungled his one shot at the selfie.

Wenger shrugged his shoulders with that knowing look as if he knew what had just happened. He absolutely knew.

Who’s starting a petition to give this guy another chance with the big man then?
