Arsenal forward Joel Campbell has confirmed he wants to leave the club this summer to join La Liga club Real Betis.

The Costa Rica winger is on season-long loan in Spain and his contract at the Emirates is up at the end of the season.

Campbell chose Arsenal over the likes of Manchester United in 2011 but he’s made just 40 appearances for the Gunners and is unlikely to be offered a new deal.

Wenger has always spoke favourably of Campbell but the forward has revealed he will not sign a new contract and wants to join Betis.

‘I will try to give my best this season, ‘ said Campbell.

‘(Hopefully) in the end the club is happy with what I do and they want to bet on me.’
