Mesut Ozil only has three clubs he wants to join if he were to leave Arsenal next year, according to reports.

The Germany international will be available on a free transfer at the end of the season if he fails to agree a new deal with Arsenal.

And Manchester Evening News reports that the midfielder is holding out for a move to one of three clubs – Manchester United, Real Madrid or Barcelona.

But the report also claims that United have not made an approach for Ozil.

Ozil, who is currently earning £150,000-a-week at Arsenal, has not yet been offered a new deal by the club.

Earlier this week, former United and Arsenal defender Mikael Silvestre admitted he felt that Ozil would be the wrong fit under Jose Mourinho.

‘I think he would have to change his attitude. I think it’s mainly when the team loses the ball,’ he told beIN Sports.

‘The first few seconds in reaction – that’s when the coaches want you to get up and try to recover as quickly as possible. Be that man to block and try to stop your opponent.

‘And his transitions sometimes, he looks like “okay we lost the ball now and I’ve got to run back now because I’m Arsenal”, but sometimes it doesn’t look like he is interested, so at United he wouldn’t last long – especially with Jose [Mourinho].’
