Mikel Arteta was on the receiving end of a superb nutmeg by Sergio Aguero in Manchester City training – and even Pep Guardiola couldn’t hide his delight at the sublime piece of skill from the Argentine.

Aguero made his return at the weekend after being involved in a car crash in Amsterdam before the international break.

The striker suffered a broken rib as his taxi, which was en route to the airport, hit a metal pole.

Aguero started ahead of Gabriel Jesus on Saturday and opened the scoring in a 3-0 victory over Burnley.

Aguero is in contention to keep his place for the Carabao Cup clash against Wolves on Tuesday evening.

And judging by his performance in the rondo during City’s training session, the striker is definitely ready to go.
