Jurgen Klopp has praised Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s ‘dynamite’ form as the former Arsenal attacker continues to settle at Liverpool.

The Reds forked out £40million for the England international, but Oxlade-Chamberlain is still waiting for his first Premier League start.

Oxlade-Chamberlain came on for the final 25 minutes in the 3-0 win over Huddersfield and Klopp knows he will be greedy for more starts.

‘I am sure he is greedy for more starting selections and of course that opportunity will come,’ Klopp told the Liverpool FC website.

‘He is very much in the infancy of his Liverpool life, but the ‘world’ in 2017 doesn’t always allow for patience.

‘He is doing everything right in this moment and because of this I know he will be a big success for us.’

Oxlade-Chamberlain is expected to play against Maribor on Wednesday night in the Champions League.

The 24-year-old scored his first goal for Liverpool in the 7-0 rout of Maribor a week ago and Oxlade-Chamberlain will be eager to start against the Slovenian side.

Klopp insists he is delighted with the attacker’s progress and wants Oxlade-Chamberlain to have more confidence in himself.

‘I do want to specifically mention Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain,’ Klopp said.

‘He has shown his class each and every time he has had the opportunity on the pitch and the weekend was another example of this.

‘He is like dynamite when he comes on. Aggressive in the most positive way. Front foot always. Looking to attack and create.

‘These performances come because of how good his attitude is in training at Melwood.

‘He has the highest quality in everything he does; sometimes I think he is the last to realise this.’
