David Luiz was given a dressing down by Antonio Conte during Chelsea’s team meeting, according to reports.

The Daily Telegraph claims that the Italian launched an ‘angry inquest’ after his side’s 3-0 defeat to Roma in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.

The report claims that Luiz was targeted because of his reaction to Conte when he was substituted after just 57 minutes in the 3-3 draw with Roma at Stamford Bridge last month.

Reports in Italy suggested that the Brazilian even swore in Conte’s direction as he left the pitch.

During the meeting, Conte warned his players that he is prepared to drop them from the team if they refuse to follow his instructions.

It’s understood that Chelsea’s senior players accepted Conte’s harsh words and understand why the Italian is angry with their performances.

Following their defeat to Roma, the Premier League champions are now preparing to face Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
