Sead Kolasinac is set to return for Arsenal’s clash with Manchester City on Sunday.

The 24-year-old has been suffering from a recurring hip injury since the last international break and was forced off with 12 minutes to go in Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Swansea City last Saturday.

Kolasinac subsequently sat out of Arsenal’s goalless draw with Red Star Belgrade in the Europa League on Thursday.

Before the match against Red Star, Wenger revealed that the left-back will be assessed before the trip to City but was hopeful that he would be available.

And on Friday, Arsenal confirmed that the players who will miss the fixture against City are: Shkodran Mustafi, Calum Chambers, David Ospina, Danny Welbeck and Santi Cazorla.

Kolasinac’s absence from Arsenal’s injury list indicates that he is in line to face Pep Guardiola’s side.

Arsenal are currently nine points behind Manchester City, who have won all but one of their Premier League games this season and are five points clear at the top of the table.
