Alvaro Morata says he wants to follow in Jose Mourinho’s footsteps by winning league titles in England, Spain and Italy.

Chelsea’s record signing has got off to a flying start with eight goals so far this season, but Chelsea currently sit nine points behind league leaders Manchester City.

Morata left Real Madrid after he helped guide Zinedine Zidane’s side to the La Liga title, as well as the Champions League trophy.

And the Spain international can also boast a Serie A title following his time in Italy with Juventus.

Morata has won a league trophy in each of the last three seasons, and he is now aiming to emulate Mourinho, who won domestic titles in Spain, England and Italy with Real Madrid, Chelsea and Inter.

‘I won in Italy, I won at Real Madrid and I felt important,’ the striker told Marca.

‘Now I have a challenge ahead of me to be champion in Spain, Italy and England.

‘None or very few Spaniards have achieved that and that is my goal.

‘To win the Premier League and be the Spaniard that has won in three different countries.’
