Chelsea attacker Pedro has offered his support to Santi Cazorla after the Arsenal midfielder confirmed he had undergone surgery.

Cazorla announced on Wednesday that he had suffered a fresh injury set-back after over a year out of action.

The 32-year-old has not played since last October and there is currently no return date for the Gunner.

Pedro may play for Arsenal’s bitter rivals, but the Chelsea star has sent a heartfelt message to Cazorla.

The two play together on the Spain national side and Pedro wished his good friend a speedy recovery.

‘I maintain the dream and motivation to enjoy my great passion of soccer.’

Arsene Wenger described Cazorla’s injury as the ‘worst’ he has ever seen when asked about the Spaniard’s condition in November.

Cazorla is still only 32, but one doctor told the playmaker he was lucky to be able to walk after a string of injuries.
