Eden Hazard continued his sensational form with Chelsea’s equaliser in Saturday’s Premier League match with Newcastle.

The Belgium international endured a slow start to the season following ankle surgery in the summer, but he has played an increasingly prominent role in Chelsea’s rise up the table in recent weeks.

Chelsea fell behind to Dwight Gayle’s scrappy early opener but required only nine minutes to restore parity when Hazard reacted first to a loose ball, and bobbled his shot up and over Karl Darlow.

‘This finish that he does as well. It’s such a clever finish. He hits this into the ground – it’s a super finish,’ Wright said on Match of the Day.

‘The guy has got so much ability. He’s such a beautiful player to watch. ‘Mesut Ozil is unstoppable against this sort of opposition.’

The goal represented Hazard’s ninth in his last 12th games for club and country but Arsenal fans believe the 26-year-old has been doing his homework by studying the technique of Mesut Ozil.

The Germany international scored in his side’s midweek 5-0 demolition of Huddersfield and Gunners legend Ian Wright noted the way in which Ozil bounced the ball into the ground in order to decieve the opposition goalkeeper.
