Chelsea and Arsenal have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of PSG misfit Lucas Mouara after the Brazil international agreed terms with Chinese Super League club Beijing Guoan, according to Goal.

The 25-year-old has made just five substitute appearances this season following the summer arrivals of Kylian Mbpappe and Neymar and has been deemed surplus to requirements by PSG coach Unai Emery.

Chelsea have reportedly identified the speedy winger as a potential replacement for Willian, who Antonio Conte is willing to let leave in January.

Arsenal are also said to be monitoring the Sao Paulo star, who was advised to join the Gunners by his former PSG teammate Alex, while Liverpool have also been credited with an interest.

All three Premier League clubs looks set to miss out, however, with Goal reporting Lucas has already agreed a lucrative move to the CSL, following in the footsteps of his Brazilian compatriots Hulk, Oscar and Alexandre Pato.

The Chinese Football Association has attempted to curb the spending of its major clubs by bringing new sanctions into place, but Beijing Guoan are said to be exploring ways to ensure the deal goes through.

While Lucas appears to be on the verge of leaving the French capital, another Premier League target looks certain to stay put in the shape of Julian Draxler.

‘He’s in a constant evolution and he still has a lot of energy,’ Emery told Sky Sports.

‘At PSG, Draxler is in very good hands, he’s a great contributor to our game, he’s learning a lot.’
