Willian fired a message to Antonio Conte after Chelsea’s 3-1 win over Huddersfield in the Premier League and told his manager he wants ‘to play every game’.

The Brazilian has found himself on the periphery this season, making nine appearances from the bench and just eight league starts, and he has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge.

A reunion with former manager Jose Mourinho is said to be a genuine possibility, with the Portuguese keen on bringing him to Manchester United, although Willian has insisted he is happy to stay in west London.

But after getting on the scoresheet against Huddersfield and providing two assists, Willian admitted he hopes to play more in future.

‘Always when I play I want to play well and make the difference for my team-mates,’ he said after the match.

‘I want to play every game, everyone wants to play every game but there are only 11 players.

‘I just do my best.’
