Bordeaux’s president has spoken out amid Manchester United’s interest in star forward Malcom.
Malcom, 20, has scored 18 goals in 76 appearances for Bordeaux since his first-team debut last year and the attacker’s barnstorming start to the 2017/18 campaign has put Europe’s elite clubs on red alert ahead of the January transfer window.
It’s understood both United and Paris Saint-Germain are expressing a strong interest in the £26million-rated Malcom, but Stephane Martin insists the Brazilian sensation is going nowhere in the new year.
Asked about the speculation, the Bordeaux president said: ‘He will not leave this winter.
‘Even if we are ready in the process? I do not see what would be the interest of a club to do that.’
The Brazil Under-23 international has seven goals in Ligue 1 for Bordeaux this term – the same tally as PSG star Kylian Mbappe.
The side, though, are struggling down in 15th which could influence Malcom’s thinking regarding his future.
