Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Paul Pogba are among the travelling party to Bristol for Manchester United’s Carabao Cup clash against Bristol City.
The duo have been out of action in recent weeks, with Pogba suspended for a red card against Arsenal and Mkhitaryan out of favour.
But the pair have been snapped in a group of United players heading down south as Jose Mourinho looks to continue his defence of Manchester United’s title.
Mourinho had previously been quizzed over whether Mkhitaryan could feature for the first time since mid-November and said: ‘He can.
‘I am making a few changes for the match, not many because Bristol is one of the best team in the Championship and for me now the Championship is not the Championship of five or 10 years ago.
‘The Championship is now high quality teams with lots of players that could be playing in the Premier League easily. So we need to take the game really seriously. But I am going to make a few changes. And it’s possible Micki is involved.
‘At the moment we are playing [Juan] Mata, [Marcus] Rashford, [Jesse] Lingard or [Anthony] Martial, [Romelu] Lukaku so on the bench being Ibra [Zlatan Ibrahimovic] and one of the other ones, Martial or Rashford and there is no space for everyone because you need balance on the bench too.’
David de Gea, Ashley Young, Nemanja Matic and Phil Jones are all set to be rested, while Antonio Valencia is set to miss out due to the minor hamstring injury he suffered against West Brom.
Eric Bailly, Marouane Fellaini and Michael Carrick remain sidelined. Here’s the confirmed squad thus far…
