Jurgen Klopp believes Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has benefited from stepping out of the shadows of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil after leaving Arsenal for Liverpool in the summer.

The England international moved to Anfield after six year in north London on transfer deadline day in a £35million move. After initially struggling to cement a place in the team and adapt to the demands of his new manager, the 24-year-old is now beginning to find his feet and was man of the match during Sunday’s 4-0 demolition of Bournemouth.

Klopp described the former Southampton star as the ‘complete package’ earlier this week and believes he his now contributing more to Liverpool’s attack than he did Arsenal’s at any time during his Gunners career.

‘He had to adapt but he did well from the first day. It’s difficult,’ said Klopp.

‘You cannot just play a little bit, you don’t know your mates. It’s all different.

‘I was happy about his involvement, but since then he became more and more a Liverpool player. So far we were lucky and he is really fit.

‘The biggest improvement (Ox) has is being involved in goalscoring situations. He has it in him, but he maybe hasn’t been asked to do that so much (at Arsenal). There, the two decisive players were Sanchez and Ozil.’
