Chelsea are poised to beat Manchester United in the race to sign Alex Sandro from Juventus, according to reports.

Antonio Conte’s side attempted to sign the Brazilian left-back in the summer but failed to agree a fee with the Serie A champions.

Juve are now open to offers for Sandro, who has reportedly told the club that he wants to leave in the January transfer window.

The Daily Mirror claims that Conte has made the signing of Sandro one of Chelsea’s priorities and the Premier League champions now want to complete a £50 million deal.

The report also claims that should Chelsea secure Sandro, Manchester United’s chances of signing Danny Rose from Tottenham will increase.

Jose Mourinho is reportedly in the market for a new left-back and is also said to be targeting Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon.

Sandro, meanwhile, reportedly favours a move to Chelsea ahead of a switch to Manchester United.

The 26-year-old has been a regular for Juventus this season but has been criticised by manager Massimiliano Allegri for his performances this season.
